Michaele Ann (aka - Mike) has been a long time rocker in the upstate capital area. The band Mike has been  noted for is "Tokyo Rose" also known as "Shovelhead." This original band of 9 years had an "Evanescence/Pantera" feel. With Shovelhead in the past, Mike took a short break. Needing to get back to performing, she opted to build a band complete with some of the most established and well rounded players in the area. Creating one of the best Pop/Rock cover bands in the area. It has taken four years in the making, Now...."Mike and the Monsters" has evolved and are rockin everyone with the newest, hottest covers, and the best classic's!

John Dodge
Bass, Keyboards, and Vocals

Capital area bassist for over 20 years with bands Ruthless, Tazmanian Metal, Tantrum, Rock Bottom, LOKI, and Bad Karma. John sets down the “bottom end” of the rhythm section which is a key element in reproducing the tunes audiences expect in a “high end” cover/party band. His playing tends to lean more towards the aggressive, but can tone it down when necessary. John is endorsed by Dean Guitars and is featured on their website. His influences come from Gene Simmons, Billy Sheehan, Paul McCartney, and Steve Harris.

Rick has been playing for years in the area with bands like 2001, Brother’s Keeper, Poor Dead Molly and 4 guys and a doll. His influences are Neil Peart (of course) Lars Ulrich, Carter Beauford, Buddy Rich to name a few. During his travels to Africa, Rick became interested in the many ancient tribal drum techniques through out Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa. Today he teaches his kids the basic rudiments of the ancient art. Ricks' commanding and disciplined style can handle a wide array of cover tunes and he enjoys taking the percussion aspect to the next level when given the opportunity in songs by Rush, VanHalen and others. Rick is a endorsed artist by ddrum and featured on their website at www.ddrum.com. He plays a kit from their USA custom shop. As other drummers down-size their kit, Rick believes in the old school ways by keeping the big guns in his arsenal. “When it comes to truly recreating the tunes everyone wants to hear which spans several decades and several different drummers, it’s important to have the right gear.
